Ingredients

  • 1 Pint Fresh strawberries washed and stems removed
  • Melting chocolate assorted colors
  • Rolo candies unwrapped
  • Green icing for the wire on the lights

Instructions

  • Start by washing the strawberries carefully and patting them dry with a paper towel. It's important to remove any excess moisture to ensure the chocolate adheres properly.
  • Melt your choice of chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth and fully melted. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate, as it can become clumpy or burnt.
  • Hold each strawberry by its stem (can also use a skewer) and dip it into the melted chocolate, making sure to coat it completely. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the strawberry on a parchment-lined baking sheet to harden.
  • Once hardened, twist stems off strawberries but don't cut out.
  • Add a dab of melted chocolate (the color of the strawberry light) to the bottom of a Rolo candy and place on top of each strawberry. Set back on parchment paper and allow to harden.
  • Using green icing make a string light pattern across the platter and place the chocolate strawberry lights throughout.
  • Serve and enjoy!
