Yoda Hot Cocoa Bombs

Ingredients
Yoda Cocoa Bomb Ingredients
- 2 bags lime green candy melts
- 2 cups cocoa mix
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
Will Also Need
- 2 Semi-Sphere silicone molds -to make the cocoa bombs.
- Outline of Yoda's Head Printable - print and use outline to make Yoda's ears.
- Disposable piping bag - to pipe the ears and Yoda's face.
- Large cookie sheet fitted with wax paper
- Small cookie sheet fitting with wax paper
- Bowl - for melting the chocolate.
- Spoon - to spoon the melted chocolate in the molds.
- Hot Plate - to help seal the 2 sphere molds together.
- Cup - to enjoy the hot cocoa bomb.
- Hot Milk - to help melt and mix in with hot cocoa bomb.
Instructions
- How to Make Yoda Hot Cocoa Bombs
- Set aside ½ cup of the candy melts for yoda's ears.
- Melt the remaining candy melts in increments of 30 seconds using a microwave safe bowl stirring in between. Spoon about 1-2 tbsp of the candy melts into the silicone molds.
- Carefully swirl the candy melt to completely coat the inside of the mold. Lightly shake the extra candy melt back into the bowl.
- Place the coated molds into the fridge for 5-10 minutes. Remove from the fridge and gently peel the silicone mold back away from the hardened shell. Carefully place the mold onto the cookie sheet.
- Melt the candy melts that were set aside for yoda's ears in increments of 30 seconds stirring in between. Scoop the candy melts into the piping bag.
- Print and cut out the outline of yoda’s head and place onto the small cookie sheet. Lay a piece of wax paper over the outline.
Using the piping bag, pipe an outline of yoda’s ears. Fill in the ears. Repeat about 8-10 times that way you have extras in case an ear breaks when you build the cocoa bomb. Place the cookie sheet in the fridge. - Building the Cocoa Bombs
- Place 4 molds onto the large cookie sheet.
- Scoop about 1 ½ tbsp of cocoa powder into the bottom mold. Place a small handful of mini marshmallows into the mold.
- Heat a plate in the microwave for about 45 seconds, carefully taking it out cause the plate will be hot. Take the chocolate half that doesn't have anything in it and press the open part onto the hot plate for a few seconds to melt the chocolate and twist a bit to smooth the edges. Connect the two half pieces of chocolates together and seal together. Allow to dry.
- Remove the ears from the fridge. Carefully peel ears off the wax paper.
- Melt the edge of the ears using the hot plate. Place the ears onto the sides of the mold. To make sure they are extra secured you could pipe some melted chocolate around the ears.
- Using the piping bag, pipe squiggly lines for yoda’s forehead. Allow for the detail to harden before enjoying!
- How to Use a Hot Cocoa BombTo use a hot cocoa bomb, carefully place in the bottom of a cup. Heat milk separately in microwave or on stovetop. Pour piping hot milk in cup over top of hot cocoa bomb and watch it open up. Stir and enjoy!
