Funfetti Mug Cake
This Funfetti Mug Cake is amazingly fast and easy to make! Just add a few ingredients to a mug, stir, pop in the microwave and enjoy!

Mug Cake Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg yolk only
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- ¼ cup flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon sprinkles + extra for garnish
Frosting Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter room temperature
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 teaspoons milk
- ⅓ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt

How to Make Funfetti Mug Cake in the Microwave
- Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the bottom of a microwave safe mug and melt in microwave.
- Add milk, vanilla extract, egg yolk and sugar to mug with melted butter. Use a fork to whisk ingredients until incorporated. Add flour, baking powder and pinch of salt to the mug. Whisk again to combine. Stir sprinkles into the mixture.
- Microwave for 90 seconds on 70% or medium-high power. Allow to cool while preparing frosting.
How to Make Mug Cake Frosting
- To prepare frosting, use a fork or an electric mixer to beat butter and powdered sugar in a bowl until creamy. Add in milk, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Beat again until combined.
- Add additional milk if necessary until desired consistency is reached.
- Spread or pipe frosting onto cooled mug cake. Add additional sprinkles if desired and enjoy!
