Ingredients
4- 5bonelessskinless chicken breasts
1teaspoonof salt
½teaspoonof black pepper
1teaspoonof your desired herbssuch as thyme, oregano, or parsley I used thyme
32ozchicken broth or water
1celery stalk cut in half
½onion pieces
2cupsbroth or water
Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in a large pot and cover with water or broth.
Add the salt, black pepper, celery stalk, onion and desired herbs in the pot.
Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low and let simmer.
Cover the pot with a lid and let the chicken cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Remove the chicken from the pot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing or shredding. Serve as desired.
