Swamp Sludge Jello Syringes for Halloween
Serve up these spooky yet delicious Swamp Sludge Jello Syringes at your Halloween party! They look like the mud from the swamp but actually made with Jello and black food coloring.

- 1 - 3 oz. package Grape Jello
- 3 cups water or 1.5 cups water & 1.5 cups rum or vodka for the adult version
- 3 drops black food coloring
- 24 plastic syringes
For the Kids:
In a medium pot, boil 1.5 cups water. Remove from heat, add gelatin and stir for 3 minutes or until fully dissolved. Add 1.5 cups cold water and stir until combined.
Add 3 drops of black food coloring and stir to combine.
To fill the syringes, place the tip of the syringe in pan with jello mixture and pull up the syringe until the liquid is filled to the top. Repeat with all syringes.
Refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
For the Adults:

Tips and Variations
- Add vodka or rum to make them adult friendly.
- Store in the fridge for up to 3 days and serve chilled.
- Make ahead of time to allow the Jello to set.
- Can use small cups instead of syringes.
- Try a different color for a different effect such as red for vampire blood or green for zombie blood.
