Ingredients

  • 1 package 14 oz beef shaved steak
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1/2 large onion chopped
  • Sliced Provolone cheese
  • Egg roll wrappers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Ranch for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large pan or flat top griddle melt half of the butter over medium high heat. Add peppers and onions and cook until softened about 3-4 minutes. Place in bowl and set aside.
  • Melt the other half of the butter and add the beef shaved steak to the pan seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Cook thoroughly until browned for about 3-4 minutes. Place in bowl.
  • Lay out an egg roll wrapper like a diamond and place 1/2 of a slice of cheese or full slice if you like it cheesier on the diamond nearest you leaving room to fold the flap over it.
  • Spoon one tablespoon of peppers and onions and then 2 tablespoons of steak on top of the cheese. Fold egg roll wrapper according to package directions and seal the edges with water as you go.
  • Fill your fryer or deep pan with 3 inches of oil heating to 350 degrees F. Place 3 egg rolls at a time in pan and fry 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until it is browned all over. Drain on paper towel plate.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce such as ranch dressing.
