Prepare boxed cake per directions on the box.

Using 3 bowls add white frosting to each bowl (more in 2 of them and about a cup full in the last one).

Separately add the food coloring to each bowl and mix well.

When cupcakes are cooled add the frosting to the tops with half of the cupcakes red and the other half black.

Print the cupcake toppers and cut out each circle and tape a toothpick to the back of each one and then stick in the black cupcakes.

Using 3 brown M&M's or chocolate covered almonds line them up in the center of each red cupcake making an ant.

Using the brown frosting and a small round icing tip create the legs and eyes of the ant.
