Pinocchio made in 1940 is a classic tale about a wooden puppet who’s wish is to become a real boy. Granted one day by the Blue Fairy he was given his wish as long as he proves himself brave, truthful, and unselfish. While trying to prove this to himself he comes across several obstacles but in the end stays true to his word and becomes a real boy.
The Walt Disney Family Museum located in San Francisco presented the Wish Upon a Star: The Art of Pinocchio Exhibit from May 18, 2016 to January 9,2017 and I was able to get a tour of it while visiting last month. The exhibit had behind the scene information about the film including original artwork, figurines, cels and more. There were over 300 objects at the exhibit which is truly amazing to see how much work went into the film and still is a great movie for all to see after 75 years.
I have a fascination about learning more on Disney films and how they were made and so grateful I got to experience the exhibit to share with all of you.
PINOCCHIO is being released from the Disney vault and will be available to you on Digital HD 1/10 and Blu-ray on 1/31!
