Tips for Family Game Night

Who doesn’t want to spend more time together as a family? I love spending time with the family, but making time for it can be hard. For other families out there, who want to spend more time together, here are tips for putting together a family game night.

Plan a consistent date

Family game nights always happen, when they are on the calendar. In my family, we always do game night on the second Saturday of the month. This makes it easier than trying to figure out what date family game night is on. Plus, with such busy schedules, I always know when this is happening, which helps me avoid overscheduling.

Have a fun game in mind

Our family usually concentrates on one game per family game night. This forces us to figure out the game and to have fun. Sure, we find games we don’t like. For the most part, playing one game takes off a lot of pressure. Plus, this allows everyone to have a turn picking a game.

Make family game night cozy

At our house, family game night is always in our pajamas. There is something special about being cozy, especially during the winter months. We all love sitting around in our pajamas during family game night, it helps us to relax and be comfortable.

The right food is everything

When it comes to family game night, the right food is always everything. My family loves when I make an On-Cor entrée. These are perfect for putting in the oven, while we have our family game night. On-Cor has a simple mission—to offer quality, multi-serve entrées that everyone loves. They are perfect for moms who want to offer quality meals for their family in a convenient way. The new packaging is great too because it allows us to see exactly what we’re feeding our families.

The frozen, fully-cooked entrées are conveniently packaged and ready to heat and serve. I know firsthand that meals can be demanding, but On-Cor entrées have made my life a lot easier. When you aren’t sure what’s for dinner, simply pull out an On-Cor entrée. You can serve it as is or put your own spin on it.

The next time you’re looking for a wholesome meal, head to your local retailer to grab your own On-Cor entrée. I love the changes On-Cor entrées has made to their meals too. Several of their entrées have more 20% more meat. We’re talking the yummy Salisbury Steak, Sliced Turkey, and Char-Broiled Patties, more meat for everyone. If you’re like us and love the Penne Pasta & Meatballs with Tomato Sauce, it also has 25% more meat. The Macaroni and Cheese entrée has 100% real cheese and the “Selects” Lasagna with Meat Sauce uses real mozzarella cheese. No MSG is added to any of the entrées. You can find these meals at your local Kroger store and learn more here.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of On-Cor. The opinions and text are all mine.

I always try to keep some frozen entrees on hand for busy days. My oldest son could live on their frozen salisbury steak!

I absolutely love the idea of planning a consistent family game night! We always do it over the holidays with extended family, but incorporating it into our weekly lives would be something to look forward to each week!
