“It’s a story about friendship, it’s a story about loyalty and protecting your friends and it’s a story that shows that even a little girl can help a big giant solve his biggest problems.”-Steven Spielberg
The BFG will touch your heart in so many ways when you see the movie in theaters July 1st. Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg brought this classic tale to life told by the greatest story-teller of all – “Ronald Dahl”. As a kid we think that giants are not nice but the case is different for BFG as he is a friendly and gentle giant.
BFG comes across a young girl named Sofia where she shows him how to be brave especially in Giant County and he brings her to Dream Country where he collects dreams and sends them to children, teaching her all about the magic and mystery of dreams.
There is a combo of light and darkness in the film but not so dark to scare the kids. In fact the kids will enjoy it especially the part about the Wiz-Poppers. You will find out more about them when you see the movie and know what I mean. The Corgi dogs in the film also stole the show as you see them wiz across the room in several scenes.
If the kids haven’t read the book told by Ronald Dahl , you can pick up a copy here. I highly suggest it especially if the kids are doing a summer reading program.
This movie is going to be HUGE, so be sure to take the whole family to see it in theaters Friday, July1st.
Print these fun coloring pages and activity sheets for the kids to do before they see the movie on July 1st.
