How would you like a chance to win $10,000? Scotties Facial Tissue is giving kids a chance to win with a video contest. It is Scotties 5th annual launch of their TREES ROCK! video contest and a chance for kids to win $10,000. It’s open to students in grades 3-6, provides them with environmental curriculum and tips about the many amazing things trees do in our community. To enter, students are encouraged to shoot a 1-3 minute video to tell Scotties why trees are so important. The grand prize winner (determined by a national vote) will receive $10,000 to use on a sustainable project at their school.
“TREES ROCK! is a very special initiative for us all at Scotties,” said John Robertson, Marketing Director at Scotties Facial Tissues. “Our parent company, J.D. Irving, has planted 944 million trees in North America over the last 50 years. We are so proud to share with children a love of trees and of nature and instill in them a drive to be responsible stewards of environment for generations to come.”
All videos must be submitted by November 13, 2015 at www.ScottiesTreesRock.com. The top 10 finalists will be announced in December 2015, and from there the videos will go to a national vote to determine the winner by early 2016. Prize money will be awarded at a celebratory event in April / May of 2016. Good Luck!
