Safety, based on a true story, about a Clemson football player showing the true perspective of what a college athlete goes through from practice, school, studying, family and life. It’s not always easy and there may be some behind the scenes things you may not know about going on in someone’s life.

Not Just a Sports Film
I will tell you that I was a little hesitant to watch it at first because I’m not a huge sports fan and didn’t want to watch a movie about football. I will tell you this is NOT just a sports film. It’s so much more than that!
It’s about life lessons, loyalty, and relationships between family and friends!
Life Lesson
Life Lessons were taking on too many roles at once making it seem impossible, but it can be done. Being a college athlete is already hard enough but to pile on more things on top of that is even harder. Ray definitely showed us that it can be done with a little bit of help and determination.
Loyalty
Loyalty was where Ray stepped up to be a parent to his brother, Fahmarr, when his mom went to rehab. He could of let him go to Foster Care but was determined to not let him go and be loyal to his brother and taking on a huge responsibility while he was going to school.
Relationships
Relationships happened when new relationships were formed formed with Ray’s college roommate, his teammates, his mother, his brother and a love interest. Through the good, bad and the ugly they all stuck together becoming closer than ever.
My Review
I loved this movie and the special bond between Ray and his brother in the film. Disney gets me every single time. I cried and you will probably too. I love that they shared the real life updates of the family at the end to see what they were up to. I definitely think it’s a great movie for the whole family to see.
Is Safety Movie for Kids?
Absolutely it is for kids and the entire family. There is no bad language or anything that is not appropriate for kids. It’s a great family story to watch for movie night.
