How to Get Free DVD Rentals and Free Movie Theater Tickets

There are many ways to watch free movies from home or at the theater. I can’t remember the last time I have paid for a movie rental or in the theater. I have made a list of ways to get free movie rentals and theater tickets.

DVD Movies

Public Library– Check with your local library as many carry DVD’s even new release ones. Each week they get new DVD’s in stock and if they don’t have what you are looking for you may be able to ask them to order it.  I check the library website regularly and reserve them as soon as they come available. They usually get new releases in when the DVD releases.

Redbox– Sign up by texting SIGNUP to 727272 to receive text messages and receive movie promos monthly. Also, sign up to to get a free game rental by texting GAMETIME to 727272. Plus, you can try the following codes below to score a free rental. If you use different credit cards you score more than one free rental at a time.

Borrow from friends I have several friends that buy movies when they come out so after they are done watching them I ask if I can borrow them.

Movie Theater Tickets

Kellogg’s Family Rewards– Enter in codes from specially marked packages from Kellogg’s products. When you get to 1,000 points you can cash out for 1 free movie ticket.

Contests– Enter contests at www.online-sweepstakes.com to win free movie passes.

My Points– Sign up for my points and earn points for surveys, reading mail, printing coupons, and shopping online. You can cash out for movie gift cards.

Swagbucks – Sign up to earn Swagbucks by searching the web, taking surveys, and watching video clips. When you earn 1,000 Swagbucks you can cash out for a $10 Fandango Gift Card or cash out at 2500 Swagbucks for a $25 Fandango Gift Card. You can use the Fandango gift cards online to order your movie ticket to redeem at the movie theater.

Free Screenings – Some movie theaters hold a free movie screening before the movie comes out. You can check the websites listed below to see if there are any in your area. I would check back often because there is always a new movie coming out.
