I enjoy a good puzzle game every now and then to get me thinking. I came across Dreamgate Studios “Light in the Dark” App that has a new twist to mobile puzzle games. The app is available for  iPhones, iPods, and the iPad.

About the “Light in the Dark” App:

Help the Totems find their adorable lost children in this light bending, color blending puzzle game. The Totems shine brightly as you are tasked with solving each challenging and fun-filled scenario! Move boxes, slide lenses and adjust mirrors so the Totem’s light can awaken the slumbering babies! Only YOU can help the Totems save their babies! But beware the monsters that lurk in the darkness…

I found that the more I played with the game the more it got addictive. With 120 Challenging Levels and more soon to come, you may never see the light of day. 🙂 And the challenges seem to increase the higher level you get. And if you need to get away from the game you can always pick up where you left off without having to do the challenges all over again. My 8-year-old son also enjoyed the game and got the hang of it pretty quick. Each level was colorful and full of animation.

You can easily move the characters up and down with a touch and drag of your finger. The object of the game is to match the color with the babies that the parents have to do. When the light gets to the babies, release your finger and let the bar fill up until it is completely green to complete the stage. There is also hints you can get if you are stuck on a level but you only get 3 hints so use them wisely.

And don’t forget to brag to your friends and rivals by sharing your scores on Facebook or Twitter.

And just to warn you that this app does have the option to buy additional in-game items with real money to enrich and assist gameplay, ranging from $0.99 to $14.99 USD (or equivalent amount in the applicable regional currency) so be careful at how you play and what you buy.

You can download this app for $1.99 on you iPhone/iPad, Windows Phone, or Android Phone.

You can view a preview of the app in the video below.
