I recently visited Hershey, PA which was a first for me and my family to check out Hersheypark in the Dark. I immediately fell in love with the city as everything was related to candy Hershey from the Hershey Kiss street lights to the Hershey Chocolate Bars you receive when you check in the Hershey Lodge.
Hersheypark does not close its doors as most amusement parks due by October. They keep going by celebrating the holidays and they do a good job at it. Hersheypark offers so much to do for the Fall.
Visit Hersheypark In The Dark three big weekends October 16-18, 23-25 and 30-November 1 for some fun activities including:
- 13 thrilling roller coasters, including our newest Laff Trakk and four Dark Ride Experiences
- A Trick-Or-Treat Adventure through Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction and Hersheypark
- Flashlight tours during Creatures Of The Night at ZooAmerica
- Two Halloween-themed resident shows
- And much more!
After some delicious spooky treats we ventured around ZooAmerica at night with flashlights to experience creatures of the night. Even though it was in the dark it was not scary at all and we learned so much about the nocturnal animals from the ZooAmerica employees that were stationed around the Zoo. Watching the animals be active at night was a fun experience for all of us.
After ZooAmerica we visited Hersheypark in the Dark. The two locations are separated by a bridge so all you have to do is crossover. There are 13 roller coasters in the park and we made an effort to ride them all. My family are thrill seekers so this was right up their alley.
The newest coaster Laff Trakk which is like a fun house experience is different from any other coaster my family has ridden and they all loved it. The park was decorated in Halloween decorations such as light displays, pumpkins, and even some guests were dressed up in their costumes.
The next day we visited Hershey’s Chocolate World that is filled with chocolate and amazing chocolate experiences from taste testing, candy tour, creating your own candy bar, and more. If you need candy for Halloween, this is the place to stock up!
The place to stay while visiting is the Hershey Lodge. They really know how to treat a guest such as everyone gets a Hershey Candy Bar when you check in, Hershey Kisses on your pillow, and they even fluffed our pillows while we were gone for the day. Truly Amazing Service!
There are plenty of activities to do at the Hershey Lodge from miniature golf, S’mores Roast, and more. Plus, there are many restaurants to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner or grab a coffee or hot chocolate.
Don’t miss out on this amazing experience and there is still time left to visit!
And don’t forget to come back in the summer as there will be a new water park opening at the Hershey Lodge in the summer of 2016.
