We’ve waited 6 years for a Frozen sequel to come and it’s almost here! Frozen 2 will be in theaters on November 22, 2019 and I cannot wait to see it. A new trailer and poster was just released giving us some more details about the movie on how Else and Anna take a dramatic journey into the unknown.
The film has an Academy Award®-winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. I remember back in March of 2018 when I interviewed Jennifer Lee when she worked on A Wrinkle in Time and loved hearing her story on how she made the classic novel into a movie. She didn’t give us any details on if there was going to be a Frozen 2 at the time but we found out later that year it was coming.
Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) and Olaf (voice of Josh Gad) venture far from Arendelle in a dangerous but remarkable journey to help Elsa find answers about the past.
The cast is amazing and features the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. We all know the iconic song “Let It Go” that still sticks in our head whenever we hear it. I have a feeling Frozen 2 will have a great soundtrack also and possibly another iconic song in the mix. Also, hoping for some more awards to be won. While we all have to wait till November to see it, we can enjoy these teaser trailer and posters below.
Elsa encounters a Nokk—a mythical water spirit that takes the form of a horse—who uses the power of the ocean to guard the secrets of the forest. Featuring the voice of Idina Menzel as Elsa.
About Frozen 2
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she’ll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.
