I am going to be honest and admit that I don’t always make a vegetable with dinner. Yes, I know parent shame right here. The preparation is a struggle especially for busy families. We don’t always have the time to cut, peel, and cook them. Then, trying to get the kids to eat them can be a challenge.
What if I told you there was an easier way to get kids to like and eat their vegetables? Disney and Birds Eye have teamed up to offer Birds Eye feature pastas in the shape of today’s favorite Disney characters including Anna, Elsa, and Olaf from Disney’s Frozen; Lightning McQueen and Mater from Disney•Pixar’s Cars; and classic characters Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
Seeing their favorite Disney characters shaped into food is a great way to introduce vegetables or get them to eat and enjoy them. There are several varieties to choose from including whole grain pasta and corn with a butter sauce, pasta and broccoli with a cheese sauce, pasta and peas with a parmesan cheese sauce, and pasta and carrots with a tomato sauce. That way your kids will not get bored and you can pair them with different meals.
Plus, did I tell you that you don’t have to prepare anything? It’s true. You literally stick them in the microwave and let it do the work and in a few minutes it is done. HELLO, Easy! I love how Birds Eye is making busy parents lives easier and created healthy plates.
It’s sad to say but according to the State Of The Plate report, nine out of ten people in the United States do not get enough vegetables. It’s time to increase vegetable consumption among families and get that nutrition we all need.
These four varieties are available now, and for more information on Birds Eye products, please visit the Birds Eye website.
