I am so excited to share that I am a Peanuts Ambassador again this year which means I will be sharing some fun information along with giveaways throughout the year. For the start of 2016, I am sharing Peanuts Valentine’s Day themed products. I am in love ♥♥♥ with the Peanuts characters Valentine goodies! How can you not fall in love with them? Oriental Trading offers all the Peanuts characters Valentine’s Day products for the kid’s classroom parties or to enjoy at home. You can find items such as chocolates, plush, crayons, cards, books, and more.
My family and I will be watching A Charlie Brown Valentine as that is one special we can’t miss. Be sure to tune into ABC on February 12th (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST) to watch Be My Valentine Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Valentine special. They are both great for the whole family to enjoy.
A Charlie Brown Valentine is about Charlie Brown attempting to win the heart of the Little Red-Haired Girl. After numerous failed efforts, he finally works up the courage to call her to ask her to the Valentine’s Day dance. But he dials the wrong number and reaches Peppermint Patty instead. At the party, Charlie Brown tries to dance with the Little Red-Haired Girl, but then realizes she is already dancing with Snoopy. At the end of the day, Charlie Brown is upset that he didn’t get to dance with the Little Red-Haired Girl, and didn’t even receive one valentine. Just then, Snoopy brings Charlie Brown a valentine—but the special ends there, and it is not revealed who the valentine is from!
In “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown,” hearts are fluttering on Valentine’s Day at Birchwood School, and Linus has brought a huge box of candy for his homeroom teacher. Thinking that the candy is for her, Sally reciprocates with a homemade card for Linus. Meanwhile, Lucy demands some affection from Schroeder, and Charlie Brown waits for his cards in the mail… and waits… and waits…
We can’t forget about Charles Schultz who created the Peanuts Gang and the dozens of Valentine’s Day-themed comic strips he created. Many of the strips revolve around Charlie Brown’s eagerness to receive valentines…only to be disappointed, every. single. time. In several of the strips, Charlie Brown watches forlornly as Snoopy sits atop his doghouse reading his stacks of valentines—while his own mailbox remains doggedly empty.
Thanks to my friends at Peanuts they are offering one lucky reader a chance to win a Peanuts Valentine’s Day Prize Pack. Included in the prize pack is Oriental Trading’s treat box to color, crayons and stickers; Snoopy and Woodstock Pez; Simon and Schuster’s Happy Valentine’s Day, Charlie Brown; A Charlie Brown Valentine from Warner Home Entertainment; Whitman’s chocolates featuring a Snoopy plush; and a Valentine card from Hallmark. Use the form below to tell me who your favorite Peanuts character is. Giveaway is open to U.S. residents only and ends on 2/6/2016. One winner will be notified by email. Good Luck!
