Save Money and Energy with ENERGY STAR Sound Bars and Dryers

Whenever I need to save money and energy with a new appliance I head to Best Buy. I know that they sell ENERGY STAR® certified products and have been since 2015. Not only do the sell ENERGY STAR® certified products but they also have saved customers $67,120,515 in annual energy costs, saved enough energy to help power 70,538 households for a year with the appliances they’ve sold.  And if you love music or home theater, Best Buy has sold enough ENERGY STAR® certified Audio Equipment and Sound Bars to collectively help prevent the greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing 2,013 cars from the road for an entire year. That’s pretty impressive Best Buy! And for those that shop there including me helped contribute to those numbers. So go ahead and pat yourselves on the back!

I am all about saving money anyway that I can and use those savings towards family trips, college funds, etc. ENERGY STAR certified sound bars and/or dryers can help you save money on your utility bill and protect the environment. So you may be wondering how these certified products save you money. You can find the following ENERGY STAR Products at Best Buy:

Sound Bars

Audio is super important in our household especially during family movie nights. ENERGY STAR certified audio/video equipment, including sound bars is up to 50 percent more efficient than conventional models. They sound better and look better with their sleek design taking up less space. Consumers can maximize their energy savings by bundling ENERGY STAR certified televisions and sound bars and other products.

Dryers

Do you have piles of laundry that never seem to end? I have that problem too. One minute you are done and then turn around to find more dirty clothes. I have laundry days where I am constantly running the dryer all day long and that can get expensive with a non-certified dryer. Thankfully there is ENERGY STAR certified dryers that use 20 percent less energy than conventional models without sacrificing features or performance. They do this using innovative energy-saving technologies, such as moisture sensors that detect when clothes are dry and automatically shut the dryer off. Many ENERGY STAR dryers also include convenient features, such as steam cycles that can help save time on ironing clothes by preventing wrinkles.

More than 80 percent of American homes have a clothes dryer, so the savings opportunity is huge. If all clothes dryers sold in the US were ENERGY STAR certified, Americans could save $1.5 billion each year in utility costs and prevent greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to more than 2 million vehicles. To choose a dryer that saves energy and money while protecting the environment, look for the ENERGY STAR label.
