The time has finally come to where Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is now playing in theaters everywhere. I got the chance to see it on Monday and while some people say it is better than the first one, I am still on the fence. I think both of them are equally amazing! There are quite a bit of surprises in Vol. 2 that I was not expecting such as appearances from Sylvester Stallone, Miley Cyrus as the voice of Mainframe and me dropping a few tears at the end of the movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is one of the funniest movies of the year and a must-see. If you are a Marvel fan, I am sure you are already in line to see it but if you are wondering what to do for the weekend take the family to see it. And if you need a reason why check out the list below for many reasons.

5 Reasons to See Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Realistic.
In Vol. 2, it seems much more realistic than the first one with up close shots, vibrant colors and more movement to make you feel like you are part of the film. I highly recommend seeing it in 3D to get that more realistic effect.

Humor.
There is a lot of joke cracking in Vol. 2 especially between the Guardians of the Galaxy team. If you do take your kids just a warning that it is rated PG-13 so there is some bad language and sexual remarks in the film.

Baby Groot.
I just cannot get enough of Baby Groot. He is the cutest and I just want to eat him up in this film. For one he is so small and his tiny legs running around to his baby voice. He’s so adorable and a character everyone will love right from the start.

The Soundtrack.
The music in the film is amazing and can take you back several years with some great artists such as Cat Stevens, Cheap Trick, George Harrison and more. This may bring back some memories with the older folks and may create new memories with the younger crowd. Check out the full soundtrack here!

The Ending.
Don’t forget to stay till the very end of the credits to see what is coming up next for Guardians of the Galaxy sequels possibly.

I really liked the movie, but was disappointed with all the sexual innuendos. None of them were needed for the story. The one about holding what’s between his legs was way over the top. It left me feeling like they worked at getting references to sex in the movie. Wishing Hollywood would grow up and be more creative instead of relying on bad jokes to sell tickets.
