While I was visiting Orlando, Florida a few weeks ago I got the chance to test out the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring FWD and explore. When I picked it up, I instantly fell in love. First with the design and then with the drive. It comfortably seats 5 with plenty of leg room and space in the bag to store luggage, groceries, or anything else you need to haul.
This crossover utility vehicle has the features of a sport utility vehicle along with features from a passenger vehicle. No matter what the weather was like the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring FWD could handle it and keep you feeling safe throughout your trip.
So the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring FWD has a lot to offer as some are standard and others added on for an additional cost. One feature that I loved the most is the Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert. This kept me alert especially driving around unfamiliar areas and going back and forth on the freeways. If I would drift out of the lane it would beep to alert me.
There was also something about the steering wheel that felt so nice. I am not sure if it was the soft leather material or the shape but either way it made it easier to drive. And with the radio and navigation controls on the steering wheel itself helped me keep my eyes on the road and not the electronics.
I drove the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring FWD all over Orlando, Florida going from park to park to the airport, hotel, and other destinations and the gas gauge barely budged for the 5 days I used it. It does get great gas mileage at 29 MPG (26 City and 33 Highway) so that is probably why I didn’t go over a half a tank of gas. While the vehicle was great to drive I do have one con about it and that would be the navigation system. I am not sure if the maps are not updated or not but it could not find several destinations for me and actually took me to a wrong destination one time. I ended up using my phone GPS to get me to where I needed to be.
